Electracade Casinos

Electracade are a British based software developer, and while the name may not be familiar to all players, there's a pretty good chance you'll have used the company's technology if you've gambled online before.

Primarily focused on developing video slots, the company is known for their high levels of quality, their creativity, and innovation. In this article, we're going to look at some of the most popular games released by the developer, alongside looking at a brief history of how they rose from a small office in Surrey to become a leading force in the online gaming industry.

Best UK Electracade Casinos & Bonuses

Electracade love theming their games around fantasy stories and themes and this is seen most prevalently in their video slot game range. As we’ve already discussed, Electracade are big fans of fantasy-themed games and the slots section is where the company’s developers can really let their creative juices flow.

One of their most popular video slots – Rapunzel – is, of course, based around the popular fairy tale that many of us will remember from our childhood. It’s not just the game's theme that stands out, however, as the design, the look and the playability of the game is one that just can’t be compared with other software providers due to its great, unique qualities. Electracade have a special knack for putting these games together that feel so natural at each and every spin, whilst still being incredibly exciting, knowing big wins are just a lucky spin away.

Rich Pickings

There are a number of these fantasy-themed slot games with Rich Pickings being another popular one, but don’t think that the developers aren’t capable of taking a more modernised approach.

The Hoff Slot

The Hoff slot – based around 'the Hoff' himself (or David Hasselhoff) – is one of their 'new-age' slot games, combining their high-quality game mechanics with a popular, recognisable theme.

Love him or hate him, there’s no denying that the Hoff is a pretty cool personality to have on the front of your video slot.

Family Fortune

Family Fortune is another of the developer’s popular games, and as the name gives away, this branded slot is based after the popular television show that became a global hit in the United States back in the 1990s. While the gameplay doesn’t benefit from embarrassing, awkward family moments, it does provide a relatively enjoyable and exciting game experience, and it’s definitely something new. So, go and check it out – we guarantee you won’t have played anything like it.

That’s just a small number of the slots Electracade have created, as the company has produced over 200 in total. What’s really cool about their game range is that they tend to cycle their games, which means that whilst you might find one of their slots at one casino, there’s no guarantee you’ll find it at another casino that offers their games. So, you quite often end up finding yourself playing old games that you simply didn’t know existed, which is nice because it keeps it fresh and exciting.

Table Games

While Electracade are known primarily for their video slots, they do have a small range of casino games that are occasionally offered on some of the sites that feature their games, and below, we’re going to look at some of their main categories of casino games.

NOTE: Just because you see here that they’ve created certain casino games doesn’t mean that you’ll find them at your chosen online casino even if that casino proclaims to have a large selection of Electracade’s games. This is because various licensing laws and business decisions can mean games don’t end up live at certain casinos, so consider the following a rough guide only.

Electracade don't offer the largest selection of Roulette games, and that's even a push - because they currently offer just one title – European Roulette. While you'd be forgiven for expecting slightly more from a global software developer, it's worth noting that the Roulette they offer is incredibly well-built, and it's certainly at the higher end of the scale in terms of game development.

An intuitive format allows casinos to offer the same game in a number of different staking options, and this ensures the players can spin the wheel regardless of their budget or ideal stake. The game also allows players to customise the graphics quality level used within the game and this is extremely beneficial to players on slower Internet connections or those who find the game glitches from their device.

While it would be nice to see the software developer release a more creative Roulette variant (as we've seen with many of their video slots), the game they do offer is extremely high quality and can be found in the majority of online casinos that feature their games.

Much like their Roulette, Electracade don’t offer too much in the way of card games, although you will find more than one title to choose from. In fact, you’ve got four – European Blackjack, American Blackjack, Multi-Hand Blackjack, and Blackjack Pro. The rule pretty much the same with minor rule variants being the only major differences.

Graphically speaking, they're all excellent, and consistent with the rest of Electracade’s games. While we'd like to see a bit more variety in the way their Blackjack games are devised, it's fair to say that we’ll probably see more titles released in the future. The slow development is understandable, however, what with the software provider's dedication to slot development, so let’s just hope they get a bit of free time later in the year to release some more card game titles.

As of the time of writing, Electracade don’t offer any type of live dealer games, and it doesn’t appear likely to change in the near future. The company have rather enough to deal with without worrying about setting up a brand-new type of gaming technology, and while there are certainly benefits of occasionally expanding business and branching into new areas, the software provider has a large enough share of the market that they really don’t need to.

Video Poker

Electracade offer a relatively disappointing number of video poker titles, which is two. So, if you had ideas of enjoying a diverse, varied range of title, you may be better of looking at another software provider. In terms of the Video Poker titles they do offer, you’ll find two fairly standard game variants. The first is Jacks or Better: Video Poker 50-Hand and the second is 5-Hand Jokers Wild Video Poker.

The games are okay, but in all honesty, they’re not the best, and they don’t really showcase the abilities of Electracade. Nonetheless, they work, and they’re fairly in-line with most other Video Poker games around today, so just don’t set your expectations too high before playing and you should be happy.

Jackpot Games

Electracade used to offer a jackpot keno game, although it appears as though incredibly hard to find these days. This is most likely due to the fact that the game itself remains relatively unpopular and to some extent unknown within the United Kingdom.

The game may still be available to players outside of the UK, but due to licensing laws, it looks like Electracade can no longer offer progressive jackpot keno to UK-based players. You're not really missing out though, because it’s statistically one of the worst casino games to play thanks to his house edge of around 70%.

About Electracade

  • Year Founded: 2004
  • Owner: Openbet
  • Publicly Traded: No

Electracade have achieved quite a lot in a relatively short lifespan, and despite having just 13 years of experience working in the industry, the software provider has quickly risen in popularity and power, becoming so popular that they were actually brought out £3 million by Orbis in 2008. Orbis changed its name to Openbet in 2010, and Openbet remain one of the biggest names in the online gambling world, partnering with other software providers, such as Playtech and 888, to increase the distribution and accessibility of their software.

One of the main things that often suiprises players about Electracade is that, despite the fact that they’re a subsidiary of Openbet and highly-recognised within the gambling industry, their games are actually quite hard to find. It tends to be a case of “one game here, one there”, so in other words, it’s hard to find online casinos that offer the full catalogue of Electracade games. This is likely down to the fact that many of their games are published under different brand names. Although it would be nice to see a bit more of them, especially as the quality of their games (at least when it comes to their video slots) is generally quite high.
