Casinos in Birmingham
As well as being a heavily populated city, Birmingham is also fairly spread out. It’s no surprise, therefore, that the casinos are also to be found in different suburbs throughout the Second City. You’ll find casinos located not far from the well-known sporting venues in the area, including Edgbaston Cricket Club and Star City, which is not far from Villa Park. The Gala & Chinatown Genting are closest to the train station and the city’s major attractions.
Map of Birmingham Casinos
Birmingham is the most populated city in Great Britain outside of London with over a million residents calling it home. That is almost certainly why it boasts seven different casinos at the time of writing. The large Asian population in the city may also explain why three of them are from the Genting chain of casinos.
Though there are obviously similarities between the various casinos when it comes to what sort of games and facilities they offer, there are also significant differences. Only the Star City Genting Casino offers poker tournaments from that chain’s three casinos, for example. If poker is your game then you’ll also be able to play it at the Broadway Casino, which is the location of one of the finest poker rooms in the country on account of the fact that the casino is based inside the former Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The Genting Casino in Chinatown plays up to its target audience, including seven baccarat tables to choose from in peak times. There’s also American roulette and Blackjack tables, however, so don’t be too alarmed if baccarat isn’t your thing. The city’s Grosvenor Casino isn’t the largest but it is located in one of the busiest parts of town so it’s normally got a pretty good atmosphere. There is a poker room here as well as table variations of the same game.
