Casinos in Southport
With a population of less than 100,000 and nearby Liverpool offering four casinos if you include the one over in Birkenhead, Southport would have been forgiven if it had decided not to bother with a casino. Everyone likes a night out every now and then, however, so the Genting Casino chain decided the people there shouldn’t miss out.

The venue actually used to be on the books of the Mint Casino chain, but when Genting decided to relocate from a central venue to one based on the waterfront this seemed like the ideal place so they took it over. It’s not the largest casino you’ll ever go to but, with the aforementioned Liverpool not far away and the far more party friendly Blackpool only thirty miles up the coast, it doesn’t need to be. There’s a poker room here for any of you that enjoy that game, with both limited and No Limit games played daily. They also try to offer something a bit different by way of tournament, so expect the likes of Sit ’n’ Go and Freezeouts to be a regular occurrence.
If you prefer your games to be slightly more traditional then fear not. There are four roulette tables, which are complimented by more than a dozen electronic roulette machines. The usual table games like Blackjack and three-card poker can be found, as can interesting varieties on a theme, such as mini-baccarat and Two Way Texas Hold’em.
As with most other seaside towns, Southport is centered around the waterfront. The casino is actually smack bang in the most interesting area – right next door to the theatre and the Convention Centre. If you’re looking for a landmark then keep your eye out for Silcock’s Funland and Pier with Southport Pleasureland not far away either.
